Vision: living the dream
To bring our passion for community building, radical politics, sex-positive spaces, media making and cultural production to our kinship network...and far beyond!
Mission: doing the work
- We are committed to empowering individuals to speak for themselves using new technologies, and to creating representations of the diverse communities we embody.
- We have taught together at Desiree Alliance in San Fransisco [July 07 and 08], at the Women, Action and the Media Conference in Boston [March 2008], and at the Anarchist Bookfair in New York, [April 2009].
- We've taught and lectured on community-based, DIY art individually all over North America - from Seattle to San Antonio to Brooklyn.
- We produce media - we've shot music videos, styled and taken archival portraits with our collaborators, and hosted events for us and the NYC Femme Family.
- We create and maintain a beautiful and welcoming space for our community and events; and we are gratefully supported by a wonderful network of allies and house service.
Goals: to make art with h[e]art!
- To ally with working artists and activist groups to enable their media production.
- To resist the homogenization and corporate branding of cultural production - we feel it is vital to free speech to equip individuals and small and/or marginalized groups to represent themselves while embracing their individuality and creativity.
- To produce fabulous photo shoots and events to archive and celebrate our community.
- To facilitate the development of sex-positive spaces and radical household service.
